The Coming Government of God
Humanity since the beginning of time has been searching for ways to govern its people. The purpose of government is to protect and provide their citizens with their basic needs so that they can work (have purpose) and enjoy life. However, it has been impossible for any government of our world to achieve this ideal goal of protecting their citizens and providing their basic needs. Why? Because no government since the beginning of life on earth has been able to protect its citizens from death and the hell that contributes to death such as sickness, disease, war, poverty, hatred, violence, natural disasters, death of a loved one etc.. Whereas the government of God has the power to achieve this goal. It has the power to overcome all things including death. In other words, God’s government or His world has the power to establish eternal life on earth and beyond. Furthermore, it appears that the coming government of God is going to be a world government, which offers its citizens a life that will be free of death and hell. The head of God’s government is Christ and those who will rule with him are His disciples (His elect). Christ and His disciples are required to forsake all their earthly possessions. They are to own nothing. Why? This protects God’s government against corruption, which is a major issue with all the governments of our world. However, Christ and His disciples are to have everything they need, which is all anyone needs. Furthermore, Christ’s disciples will have the power of God in accordance with His word and be able to do even greater works than what Christ did. JOHN 14:12 However, God retains absolute control of this power because it takes two or more disciples who must agree before this power can be received MATTHEW 18:19 and both disciples must abide by all of God’s commandments. JOHN 15:7 Otherwise, they will not be able to receive this power. This is how God controls this power, which can establish eternal life on earth and beyond. Everyone in God’s world will be protected from death and hell and everyone will then be healthy both mentally and physically. This means that everyone will then be able to work (have purpose) and enjoy life. Furthermore, it appears that there will be a fair tax of 10% (our tithe), which would be used to operate the government of God. Nothing is sent to God himself. Everything we receive from God is a gift such as our food, water, shelter, etc.. The only thing we must pay for are the costs involved in receiving God’s many gifts including His greatest gift of all, which is this miraculous power that can give us eternal life.
As well, it also appears that everyone in God’s world are free to live their lives as they please. God’s only requirement is that we believe in His Son or in other words, that His people (His sheep) support His organization. (i.e.: give their wool, which represents their tithes and offerings). Why? So that they can receive what God offers, which is this power that can recharge, restore, control and protect life. However, the disciples are to be a light unto the world. They are the good shepherds, and they are to lead God’s sheep by example on how God would like His people to live. “And all that believed were together and had all things common and sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need”. ACTS 2:44,45 This is how the early disciples and their followers lived, and this appears to be the way God is encouraging His people to live so that everyone has what they need. However, the only ones who are required to live this way are Christ and His disciples. This means that the ruling class (Christ and His disciples) will be the poor in God’s world and everyone else will have as much or more. This is the wisdom of God, which is just the opposite of the governments of our world. As well, it also appears that God himself lives this way and just like Christ and His disciples, He too lives by example. Now, it’s important to note that no one is required to be a disciple. Discipleship is a choice but if we choose to accept God’s offer to represent His organization, then we are required to follow all His commandments including forsaking all our earthly possessions. This means that everyone will have a choice. We can become one of God’s sheep and follow His word by supporting His organization (His disciples) or we can become one of His good shepherds (His disciples) who represent His organization and look after His sheep. Either choice is a righteous (good) choice in God’s eyes.
The Gift(s) of God: “For by grace are ye saved through faith (by supporting God’s organization); and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” EPHESIANS 2;8,9 God’s greatest gift is eternal life. However, everything we receive from life is a gift from God. Why? Because God is the one who created life, and nothing is sent to him for the many gifts that He/life provides for us.
